Peter - He was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross. According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die in the same way that Jesus Christ had died.

-Just The leader of the church in Jerusalem , was thrown over a hundred feet down from the southeast pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in
Christ. When they discovered that he survived the fall, his enemies beat James to death with a fuller's club.* This was the same pinnacle where Satan had taken Jesus during the Temptation.
James the Great - Son of Zebedee, was a fisherman by trade when Jesus called him to a lifetime of ministry. As a strong leader of the church, James was ultimately beheaded at Jerusalem . The Roman officer who guarded James watched
amazed as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer walked beside James to the place of execution. Overcome by conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Christian.

The Legend of Hercules
An Ancient Greek legend (a story that is not real) tells how Hercules founded the Olympic Games. Hera gave Hercules twelve tasks to do as a punishment. Five of these twelve tasks were defeating a lion, defeating a boar, finding the golden apples of Zeus, killing a bull, and cleaning out the huge, filthy stables for King Augeas. When Augeas tried to cheat Hercules out of his award, Hercules killed him and founded the Olympics as his victory.
The Olympic Games honored the God of all Gods, Zeus. They also honored Hera, Apollo, and some of the other Olympian Gods. Originally, all the Olympic games, except the horse races, took place near the huge, gold, ivory statue of Zeus.
When the Olympics began, they had only one event, a foot race of about 200 meters. Fifty years later, a second race of 400 meters was added. There were many other sports added after that. Soon the festivities were expanded into a five-day event.
The 1896 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the I Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event which was celebrated in Athens, Greece, from April 6 to April 15, 1896. It was the first Olympic Games held in the Modern era. Ancient Greece was the birthplace of the Olympic Games, consequently Athens was perceived to be an appropriate choice to stage the inaugural modern Games. It was unanimously chosen as the host city during a congress organized by Pierre de Coubertin, a French pedagogue and historian, in Paris, on June 23, 1894. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) was also established during this congress.
Despite many obstacles and setbacks, the 1896 Olympics were regarded as a great success. The Games had the largest international participation of any sporting event to that date. Panathinaiko Stadium, the first big stadium in the modern world, overflowed with the largest crowd ever to watch a sporting event. The highlight for the Greeks was the marathon victory by their compatriot Spiridon Louis. The most successful competitor was German wrestler and gymnast Carl Schuhmann, who won four gold medals.
After the Games, Coubertin and the IOC were petitioned by several prominent figures including Greece's King George and some of the American competitors in Athens, to hold all the following Games in Athens. However, the 1900 Summer Olympics were already planned for Paris and, except for the Intercalated Games of 1906, the Olympics did not return to Greece until the 2004 Summer Olympics, some 104 years later.
The 1900 Olympics, hosted by his own country, greatly disappointed Pierre de Coubertin. Coubertin and the IOC lost control when the French government took over the organizing and planning of the Games.
At the same time of the Olympic Games, Paris was also hosting the World Exhibition, an international fair of immense size. Because of the fair, the Olympics were poorly organized and poorly publicized.
Though more athletes attended the 1900 Games than in 1896, the conditions that greeted the contestants were abysmal. Scheduling conflicts were so great that many contestants never made it to their events. And even when they did make it, athletes found the area for the running events to be on grass (rather than on cinder track) and uneven; the discus and hammer throwers often found that there wasn't enough room to throw so their shots landed in the trees; the hurdles were made out of broken telephone poles; and the swimming events were conducted in the Seine River which had an extremely strong current.
It was in the 1900 Olympic Games that women first participated as contestants.
At least 1,066 athletes participated, representing 19 countries.

Power of Suffering
Suffering is seen as something that is both inevitable and welcome - something to be confronted rather than avoided. Many questions arise concerning the role of suffering. These questions include: How is there suffering in a world created by a good God who cares for and loves His creation?
Suffering is any unwanted condition and the corresponding negative emotion. It is usually associated with pain and unhappiness, but any condition can be suffering if it is unwanted. Antonyms include happiness or pleasure. In a phrase like "suffering from a disease" emphasis is on having the disease, less on the unhappiness it causes.
The book of Job is widely regarded as a profound poetical reflection on the nature and meaning of suffering.
Mystifier, a great lyrist wrotes in one on his poem
“ If suffering doesn't take part of one's life.He lives out of the edges of the mind.
Mahatma Gandhi says in his article 'The Law of Suffering,' "Progress is to be measured in terms of the suffering undergone by the sufferer. The purer the suffering, the greater is the progress. Hence did the sacrifice of Jesus suffice to free a sorrowing world. In his onward march he did not count the cost of suffering entailed upon his neighbors, whether it was undergone by them voluntarily or otherwise”.
Many personalities in history, we can exampled for supreme power of suffering.
Althrough the epic of Ramayana, we can see that the pure bearing and supreme power of suffering of heroine, Sita, who called as Janaki. It is obvious that Sita's trials did not end with her liberation from the demon's captivity. All versions of the Ramayana are unanimous in reiterating her fidelity and devotion towards Rama even in times of extreme adversity.
No modern day person has exemplified the response of joy to suffering more than Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa based her whole ministry on the following gospel message:
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me." Then the righteous will answer him and say, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or see you thisty and give you drink?".. The king will say to them in reply, "Amen, I say to you, whatever you did to one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me."Matthew 25: 35-40.
Blessed Alphonsa to novices expresses the suffering like this;- Grains of wheat, when ground in the mill, turn in to flour. With this flour we make the wafer of the holy Eucharist. Grapes, when crushed in the wine press, yield their juice. This juice turns into wine. Similarly, suffering so crushes us that we turn into better human beings.
Pain and suffering has always been a part of human history. The rains fall on both the good and the bad; the holy and the unholy; the righteous and the unrighteous.
A lot of our suffering is due to our own unwise choices. But we are actually guaranteed by God that we will suffer persecution if we truly want to live for Him. Sickness and disease - both physical and emotional - can generally be overcome in this life by faith in God, but suffering will remain part of our lives on and off until we pass beyond this temporal existence into what God has prepared for those who love Him.
Suffering is the first of the Four Holy Truths of ‘dukkha’. The Sanskrit word dukkha originally meant the friction caused by turning a wheel on its axle. And so it is that there is a basic friction underlying all the activities of our lives.
In Hinduism, suffering defines as “ God's cosmic law of karma governs our life experiences through cause and effect. As God's force of gravity shapes cosmic order, karma shapes experiential order. Through karma, your thoughts, emotions and deeds-whether good, bad or mixed-return to you. Thus, karma is your teacher. It imparts the lesons you need and are able to meed. FOr it is a divine law that no karmic situation will arise that exceeds your ability to resolve it. Karma is not fate. You have free will. No God or external force is controlling your life. It is your own karmic creation. To be responsible for your karma is strength. To blame another is weakness. Therefore, remember God's great law of karma and act wisely.”
“Pope John Paul II has an intimate familiarity with suffering. His mother died when he was nine, and his older brother when Karol Wojtyla was twelve. AS a young man he saw his professors shipped off to concentration camps. Foe several years he walked five kilometers to work through freezing winter weather, to break rocks in a quarry or carry buckets of lime in a dingy factory while the Nazis murdered many of his friends. His father died, leaving him an orphan in an occupied country. He lost his closest friend when he was fifty. Another friend suffered a massive stroke hours before Karol Wojtyla entered the conclave that elected him pope.
The solution to the problem of suffering began with the recognition that life is suffering.
We naturally try to eliminate all forms of suffering from our life, but insofar as they are beyond our power to control, they are part of God’s providence.
It can make one turn in on himself in self-pity, or it can help one to open out upon the world in apostolic and redemptive action.

Some tips to work efficiently
Keep your desk and your files organized to avoid wasting time shuffling through piles of paper.
Go through your inbox at the beginning of each work day. Either throw away, file or follow up on each item.
Prioritize a list of the tasks you need to accomplish that day.
Delegate tasks to co-workers and assistants if possible.
Finish one task before you go on to the next.
Have someone else answer your phone if possible. Give instructions about calls you wish to take and those that can be returned later.
Communicate effectively and plan carefully to make sure a job is done properly the first time around.
Schedule time when you'll be available, and let colleagues know, to avoid constant interruptions. Close the door if you need to.
Take breaks. A short walk or quick lunch away from the office will increase your overall productivity.
Before leaving for the day, tidy up your desk and make a short list of projects you will need to do the next day.
Try not to take work home. You need the break.
Determine when you have most energy in a day and tackle the most important or most difficult tasks at that time.
Recognize that certain days (usually Monday or Friday) are more hectic than others. Be realistic when s cheduling those days.

Good Friday
Good Friday is the day on which Jesus Christ was crucified. Jesus Christ was born to Marry in Nezareth – a small town in Israel. He was the founder of Christianity, one of the world’s largest religions. Christ is believed to be an incarnation of God and his teachings are described in the New Testament.It is believed that on Good Friday, Christ was arrested by clergymen. Hence, Good Friday is believed to be the time when Christians keep fast and celebrate the day over the birth of Christ. Some people believe that ‘Good’ in GOOD FRIDAY is referred to as ‘GOD’ and it is also a common belief that ‘GOOD’ is referred to the gift brought by martyrdom. And according to one of the views, on this day, it is Jesus who went to heaven. It is also celebrated as a festival of life and spirit. Some believe the term "Good" evolved from "God" or God's Friday.
Calling the day of the Crucifixion ‘Good’ Friday is a designation that is peculiar to the English language. In German, for example, it is called Karfreitag. The Kar part is an obsolete word, the ancestor of the English word care in the sense of cares and woes, and it meant mourning. So in German, it is Mourning Friday. And that is what the disciples did on that day—they mourned. They thought all was .

Every year I get many phone calls from people who want to wish me on Good Friday. They are not to be blamed, for the name is misleading. They assume that if it is 'Good' Friday, something good must have happened on this day. They are quite astonished when I tell them that this is a day of mourning for the Christians as Christ was crucified on this day. "Then what's good about it?" they ask. I tell them that the death of Christ symbolizes the victory of good over evil, but that explanation somehow leaves them more puzzled than before.
Ever since I was a child, Good Friday meant dragging myself out of bed on a school holiday to attend a three hour church service at the end of which we would get hot cross buns and 'kanji' or rice water. The Friday before Easter, known as Good Friday, is observed as a day of fasting and penance every year in memory of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. This custom goes back as early as the 2nd century.
Reliving the pain
On this day, the church commemorates Jesus' arrest, his trial, crucifixion and suffering, death, and burial. Since services on this day are to observe Jesus' death, and since Eucharist is a celebration, there is traditionally no Communion observed on Good Friday. In addition, all pictures, statues, and the cross in churches are covered in mourning black. The priest and the choir wear black cassocks and the chancel and altar coverings are replaced with black. Even the altar candles are extinguished. They are left this way through Saturday, but are always replaced with more white or other festive colours on Easter Sunday.
In our church, the three-hour service consists of reading passages from the Gospel about the Seven Last Words of Jesus. Each reading is followed by a message from the priest, a few minutes of silent meditation and a hymn. Good Friday services are aimed at allowing worshippers to experience some sense of the pain and humiliation that Christ experienced on this day so many centuries ago and the service ends in the journey to the cross.
While our service is for three hours, there are other churches that go on for almost six hours. The traditional Catholic service for Good Friday was held in mid-afternoon to correspond to the final words of Jesus from the cross. However, modern schedules have led many churches to shift the service to a more convenient time to allow more people to participate.
The Seven Last Words of Christ
The Seven Last Words of Christ are read from the following Bible passages: Father, forgive them . . . (Luke 3:34) This day you will be with me in paradise (Luke 23:43) Woman, behold your son . . .(John 19:26-27) My God, my God . . . (Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34) I thirst. (John 19:28) It is finished! (John 19:30) Father into your hands . . . (Luke 23:46)
Some churches use the Stations of the Cross as part of the Good Friday Service. This service uses paintings or banners or even actual re-enactments to represent various scenes from Jesus' betrayal, arrest, trial, and death, and the worshippers move to the various stations to sing hymns or pray as the story is told. There is a great variety in how this service is conducted, and various traditions use different numbers of stations to tell the story.
Some churches observe communion on Good Friday. However, traditionally Eucharist is not served on Good Friday since it is a celebration of thanksgiving. Good Friday is not a day of celebration but of mourning, both for the death of Jesus and for the sins of the world that his death represents. Yet, although Friday is a solemn time, it is not without its own joy, as the somberness of Good Friday should always be seen with the hope of Easter Sunday. I guess that's what's good about Good Friday.

In addition, all pictures, statues, and the cross in churches are covered in mourning black. The priest and the choir wear black cassocks and the chancel and altar coverings are replaced with black. Even the altar candles are extinguished. They are left this way through Saturday, but are always replaced with more white or other festive colours on Easter Sunday.
In our church, the three-hour service consists of reading passages from the Gospel about the Seven Last Words of Jesus. Each reading is followed by a message from the priest, a few minutes of silent meditation and a hymn. Good Friday services are aimed at allowing worshippers to experience some sense of the pain and humiliation that Christ experienced on this day so many centuries ago and the service ends in the journey to the cross.
While our service is for three hours, there are other churches that go on for almost six hours. The traditional Catholic service for Good Friday was held in mid-afternoon to correspond to the final words of Jesus from the cross. However, modern schedules have led many churches to shift the service to a more convenient time to allow more people to participate.
The Seven Last Words of Christ
The Seven Last Words of Christ are read from the following Bible passages: Father, forgive them . . . (Luke 3:34) This day you will be with me in paradise (Luke 23:43) Woman, behold your son . . .(John 19:26-27) My God, my God . . . (Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34) I thirst. (John 19:28) It is finished! (John 19:30) Father into your hands . . . (Luke 23:46)
Some churches use the Stations of the Cross as part of the Good Friday Service. This service uses paintings or banners or even actual re-enactments to represent various scenes from Jesus' betrayal, arrest, trial, and death, and the worshippers move to the various stations to sing hymns or pray as the story is told. There is a great variety in how this service is conducted, and various traditions use different numbers of stations to tell the story.
Some churches observe communion on Good Friday. However, traditionally Eucharist is not served on Good Friday since it is a celebration of thanksgiving. Good Friday is not a day of celebration but of mourning, both for the death of Jesus and for the sins of the world that his death represents. Yet, although Friday is a solemn time, it is not without its own joy, as the somberness of Good Friday should always be seen with the hope of Easter Sunday. I guess that's what's good about Good Friday.

Reasons for sleeping and walking up early
Evening at 9 - 11pm: is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on health.
Evening at 11pm - 1am: is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am: detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.
Early morning 3 - 5am: detoxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am: detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.
Morning 7 - 9am: absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 - 10am rather than no meal at all.
Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

On May 28 1957 A Group of music industry executives met at the Brown Derby Restaurant in Hollywood California to form a "Record Award Society". They agreed that this new organization would be named the "National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences". About a week later, on June 6th, a press conference was held to introduce this new organization and the Grammy Awards were born.
There would be two chapters of the "Academy"; one in California, and the other in New York City, which was chartered in 1958 under the directorship of President, Guy Lombardo. Some of the earliest members of the "Academy" were; Benny Carter, Rosemary Clooney, Nat "King" Cole, Doris Day, Stan Kenton, Henri Mancini, and Nelson Riddle.

May 4th, 1959 the first Grammy Awards dinner was held. There were actually two of them held simultaneously; The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills California, and the Park Sheraton Hotel in New York City. There were 28 categories in which candidates would compete (compared to 110 categories today).
The Grammy Awards, presented annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), are considered the most coveted of the many contemporary music awards. Despite the honor the awards carry and the ratings success of the televised awards show, many industry insiders consider the Grammys to be merely a reflection of mainstream commercial success.
